Age UK has supported ECIFF since the start of the festival in 2015 – some members of the community have even starred in some of our locally funded, locally filmed Earl’s Shorts, including 2025:The Long Hot Winter and Missing.

Developing this relationship still further, Film Earl’s Court – the production company responsible for The Earls’ Court International Film Festival – and Age UK in Earl’s Court, Ladbroke Grove and World’s End have established a wonderful new film initiative – The Happy Place Film Project. Age UK members are being invited to make short films of up to two minutes, explaining where where is (and/or what is) their happy place.
ECIFF continues to work with our older community in other ways – as it has done since 2008. Every year the ECIFF team visits, arranges screenings and small hospitality events at Inkerman House, Mary Smith Court and Sybil Thorndike House.
