As we enter another landmark year for the festival – our 12th Edition – we invite filmmakers from across the globe, from emerging student talent to seasoned independent directors, to share their stories with our community.
2026 Submission Categories
We are proud to announce our official categories for this year’s festival. We are especially excited to highlight that, by popular demand, we are welcoming back the Best Music Video / Short Film category to the lineup!
Exciting news: A new collaborative category for 2026 will be Best Film Soundtrack / Score which will be a joint festival award with a leading Liverpool film festival.

Caroline Tod-Richardson, Festival Director, shares her excitement for the upcoming season:
“Following the incredible success and diversity of last year’s festival and standalone events during the year, we are more energised than ever to see what 2026 has in store. Earl’s Court has always been a hub for artistic innovation, and ECIFF continues to be the stage where global perspectives meet local passion.
It was also wonderful to re-open the Music Video category in 2025, and we are delighted to place a special focus on it again this year. We truly value the unique creativity of this format and cannot wait to discover the new voices that will define this year’s festival.”
